Supergrass - Eon

If there is one band that are criminally underrated it is surely Supergrass. Chained from youth to the fizzy pop genre after spawning Alright and the excellent "I Should Coco" album, a lot of their best quality material was produced later.

This is from the third (and arguably best) album, self titled and brimming with great tunes. Eon reminds me of Pink Floyd which cannot be a bad thing. Enjoy!

22-20s - 22 Days

The 22-20s have since split but they made one self titled album and always gave excellent value for money when they were in function. I saw them supporting Supergrass in Nottingham, 2004.

"Devil in Me" was probably there most well known track but this rousing indie anthem, "22 Days" did it for me!

Massive Attack - A Prayer For England

Okay let's kick things off here with a Massive Attack track to start us off with. It was number six on the album "100th Window" and it is called "A Prayer For England."

This song is dark and moody, but with a poetic quality. Highlighting the spate of child abductions happening throughout England at the time and the responsibility that adults have with regards to our young folk.

Welcome To This New Blog

This fun blog has been created for the sole purpose of keeping alive some music's forgotten tracks. The one hit wonders, B-sides, never released tunes and most importantly, album tracks that just slipped off the radar. There were some great songs on albums that were just never heard for many reasons. Maybe they were not released or maybe you just hated the band!
